Voici une note historique intéressante fournie par un lecteur:
read your website on the gosselin family. my ancestor jacques dubois lived 3 farms from gabriel gosselin. jacques died of a heart attack in 1675 while working in his fields.
gabriel and his wife francoise lelievre were god parents to francois and clement dubois. catherine vieillot becoming a widow did not have the means to raise her 2 sons so they were turned over to the god parents, at age 7 and 4
and lived with gosselin family untill age 14.
gabriel was always known as a kind and generous man.
the dubois family have always been gratefull for his compassion and for saving the children so that our line could continue. sincerly yours bob dubois.
